Out of all the effects I’ve created over the years, this is a personal favorite. Really a trust the process moment.
Static objects, moving camera
Almost all movement is coming from the 3D camera rather than keyframing the actual geometry. Rooftop and symbols were rendered separately for easier manipulation during compositing.
Simpler than it looks
Almost all the work was done in post, my usual stomping ground. The Blend file was extremely lightweight compared to 100+ layers in each of the main AE comps.
